Winter.

February 6, Saint-Ismier.

It snowed here in the Alps last week, before a Siberian cold descended upon the country, breaking records not seen for decades. Finally a sleigh for the kids, and we're out on a pasture above my mother's house every day it seems.
I had forgotten how much I enjoy winter, when it's white and sunny and stepping outside slaps you in the face.

Now that I live in a cold climate, that "slapping you in the face" comment really is what it is like for me, too. I love winter, and the bigger the slap, the more I like it! Your pictures are gorgeous, as always!

Thanks, Susabelle.
Where is your winter?

I am in Colorado. I moved here from hot Missouri this past summer to take a job at the University of Colorado. Which means we may never see a Kelly Miller show again, since that show never comes west. :(

I take pictures of my world and post them every day, usually without much commentary. You might want to check them out:

It's a picture a day. I started it over a year ago and really have had fun with it. You can see some of the pictures of my beautiful world in them. There are pictures of Kelly Miller in there too, from a few years back.
