Ringling history revisited.
May 3, Rushville.
John Ringling North stepped back into the ring today for the first time since July 1956, when he led the last spec under the tent at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Is this Mr. North brandishing a whip?
Why no names for the other photos?
Because Mr North is the owner of this circus (not to mention a member of the Ringling family.)
Because anybody familiar with this circus knows who other people in these pictures are; because this is a blog and not a newspaper story; and last but not least, because this is my blog and I write what I damn want.
That was great,Valerie!
Well said, Valerie.
...and is there some way you can disable the option of leaving an anonymous comment? That might alleviate some difficulty you've had with some posters.
I appreciate your blog. It gives me the opportunity to catch a glimpse of my sister and niece ( as in today's photo ) once in a while. It also allows me to keep track of where they are.
Tepa Hall
( Tavana's sister )
Hi Tepa!
Good to have you on board. I'll try to put more photos of Tavana and family from now on...
There is always hope you will learn how to blog correctly.
But you will first have to learn manners.
And your photos of old shacks makes many wonder what the hell you were thinking.
Upon second thoughts the comments of that person do not deserve any further ink.
Hard to beat for low.
I'll certainly look into a way to disable anonymous comments, or to filter them for relevance.
What a delight to see a picture of my dad in the ring! Hope all is well with you Valerie. :-)
Thank you, Katherine, all is well.
Hope all is well with you, and that the wedding is as splendid as you guys.
When are you coming to visit?
I love your first comment, Valerie. I wish Steve had not removed his.
Some great pictures of the show you have posted.
Thanks, Radar!
I wish he had not deleted it either, as it was pretty funny.
Great whip action !
Tell John his Oklahoma fans can't wait to see this in person.
Lois Proctor
