Listening intently.

August 8, Stockbridge.

Looking forward now to Sunday morning drives, listening to Speaking of Faith, and the simply beautiful, lush Michigan landscape of summer completed the mood today (year after year on our circus road I grow fonder of Ohio; it is such a beautiful state, and so is Michigan, although much less diverse; and so the Midwest landscape keeps winning the heart of my eyes.)
Last week a conversation with Rachel Naomi Remen soothed my anxious soul, full of my children's woes and worries; this morning's conversation with environmentalist and writer Bill McKibben enlightened me, delighted me and scared me but left me a better person, again, as any true learning experience will.
Ms. Remen's magical final words on the show:
"The most important questions don't seem to have ready answers, but the questions themselves have healing power when they are shared. An answer is an invitation to stop thinking about something, to stop wondering. Life has no such stopping places. Life is a process whose every event is connected to the moment that just went by. An unanswered question is a fine traveling companion. It sharpens your eye for the road."

Interesting that your chosen topic title is "Listening Intently," yet requests to take down an unflattering picture (taken without permission nor even acknowledgment of presence) falls on deaf ears. Perhaps the next topic should be "Respect" or "Integrity."

If you told me who you are and what on earth you are talking about it would be nice, wouldn't it?
I never had any requests to take down any picture (if I had I would certainly have acted on it.)
Anonymity has always smacked of a hefty lack of integrity, not to mention honesty, since you're pulling out the big words.

I (cowardly) left the comment because I was upset at a friend's situation. I should not have involved myself in the situation and apologize for my rude comment. I compliment you on a blog I otherwise normally enjoy and visit daily.

Apologies accepted, but please tell me which image upset your friend and I will certainly remove it immediately if he/she so desires.
I never mean to insult or hurt.

The picture has been removed and the mystery solved (but I was apparently the only one for whom it was one.)
Please, TALK to me next time, it will make things a lot easier and faster for all.
