August 17, Indian River.

The crew, who are from Mexico, use a word that sounds like "backo" as they work to secure the tent; it comes from the English word back, as in pulling back on the rope to tighten it. Likewise the word cook-house has become something sounding akin to "cockaow" in the Latino circus parlance. It is how we know it at our house; cook house sounds foreign, cafeteria impossibly pretentious.
