I thought so too, and would love to untangle the story behind that fabulous Victorian home, a block away from the circus, that was left to crumble away (photo not posted but for the car and gate.)
It belonged to "The Wheelers", hence the W. They had classic cars and boats, then... what? It must have taken a long time for such a house, which I imagine bursting with pride and splendor, to get to the state it is in now, roof caving in, gazebo in a rotten pile on the ground. yet the car seems relatively new in its abandonment, if I can say.
There was also a canon on the front yard, and a metal ship on top of the mailbox... as you said, so many stories there.
It will take another voyage altogether, another project, to record all this; and I'm sure there are thousands of similar stories and pictures all over the country.
Ah, but for the time and money, my feet are burning...
