Hi dears, Steve Segal and family treated Bob and I to a day at Childrens Fairyland in Oakland. Bob had never been there so spent most of the time taking pictures. It was great spending time away from Playland with Steve and the kids. Childrens Fairyland is such a bargain at only $6.00. The place is huge and the rides are included with admission. Carmella(sorry about spelling) had a friend who was in a play there. There was a clown Buki doing magic, a puppet show and the play. Even the food was reasonablly priced. Lots of things to climb on all geared for kids. Apparently it opened in 1950. I remember going there as a child. It is half the price for a family of 4 that Playland charges and definitely the better deal. I thought of Dylan and Peanut and how much they would enjoy Fairyland. So much to see and climb on with Aesop fables to see and read about. A big plus is it is outdoors. Circus Vargas is in town and Richard is trying to get some of the performers etc to come to Playland. Bob and I volunteered to help. We aren't going on Saturdays as garage sales are exhausting. We bought a limited edition lithograph copy of a painting by Red Skelton. We looked on ebay and some have gone for over $300. wE PAID $10.00. I think Bob and I should finally look into that Ebay selling thing. I think we could list alot of stuff:). The copy had the original price receipt and someone had paid $795.00 originally from a gallery in Hawaii. How have you been feeling? Hows your mom? Bob finally decided to do something with the pictures he took when you visited before you left. Nothing like candid photos-can be scary. The kitties are fine. 3 are still here. There is a strange looking adult cat that comes around for food. Today it waited until the kitties were finished before eating. It is much bigger yet very polite. We miss you all. Take care Hugs and kisses Beverly and Bob.
