The fourth folding chair (black, yellow stripes, big) has been dubbed the "King of the Castle" chair.
It ties the yard together.

The landing gear in Casey's truck broke; Castro helped putting the truck back up while Eric messed around with juggling clubs and johnnie and Antonio watched.

A ceremony.

September 18, Rolling Meadows.

Father Jerry Hogan flew in from Chicago today to celebrate Tavana's communion and confirmation and her and Danny's marriage blessing. The ceremony was emotional and touching, an angel passed.
"I'd been waiting for ten years for this," Tavana told me afterwards.

Vows.

Suburbia.

September 17, McHenry.

Not quite extinct.

September 17, McHenry.

The farm is still here, stuck between walls of suburbia and the shopping malls that go with it.
It's still for sale.

Weather permitting.

September 17, McHenry.

Yesterday there couldn't have been worse conditions for the shoot, other than rain. Gusty winds and blasting sunshine alternating with clouds had me frazzled, and called for circus-style reinforcement in the form of stakes and ropes to anchor the frame. But today was just perfect, not a whisper of wind and a nice cloud cover, and this time both Antonio and Jenaro showed up (Castro rode by on his bike and I stopped him.)
I plan to set up the studio again at the two towns coming up, as we are staying two days in each, hoping to entice more people to walk up to the shot.
