Lucky Eddie.

July 14, Sharon Springs.

As part of my multimedia project on the circus I made an audio recording of Lucky Eddie today, asking him about his life in and out of the circus. He is a sculptor and a painter, he learned to be a photographer in the army, ran a foundry, and decided to change his name to Lucky Eddie the day he found Ms. Vickie.
I just love him.
Today was his and Vickie's anniversary and they both forgot.
Nineteen years!

Josie's back, with more.

July 12, Richfield Springs.

Josie arrived last night from Hugo with six children in tow and a new trailer. She brought Jason's kids with her, Kelly, nine, Wesley, six, and Brooklyn, three, to visit for the summer.

From left, Jessica, Cheney, Josie's eldest, and Yolanda.

The real Buckner.

Breathing the mountain air.

July 9, North Creek.

Fridman is sick with a severe flu; he's been lying down with fever, chills and aches since yesterday. Worrying is like a frost over every breath.
I dream of hiking in the woods all around us, alone.
This morning Reyna, Johnnie, Nathan, the kids and I took a train ride along the Hudson river.

The (growing) Armando family.

July 5, Copake.

Today is off, travel day, and to make things utterly perfect the weather finally turned.
The sun is on.
I'm dazed.
